Lot 96Coffee Chiffon and Lame Party Dress

Comprising a sleeveless gold and black lame underdress and a dress of gossamer chiffon, the bodice with low V front, beaded with rows of pearlescent bugle beads with irregularly shaped negative spaces, a wide shaped heavily beaded belt at natural waist level, and an open skirt fashioned from draped panels attached only at hem, size 8, labeled: Louis/ Cerlian/36 East 49th Street/New York.
Good condition, some holes in chiffon, one frayed area on underdress skirt and at armscyes.
Oral history accompanying this dress attributes original ownership to the great dancer Isadora Duncan.
