Frame rubbing. Wax-lined. Areas of restoration at the upper edges of the painted oval at upper right and left. Some strengthening around the nose, eyes and eyebrows. Also possibly a 1 1/2'' repaired tear with corresponding inpainting along the lower center edge. Thin in areas from prior cleaning.
