("A. Chekhov"), sent from Moscow, single leaf 7 1/8 x 4 1/2 inches (18 x 12 cm), with thirteen lines written in ink in Cyrillic by Chekhov addressed to Vladimir Ivanovich, with annotations by the recipient. Central fold, light wear to left margin, overall in very good condition.
Sent in his capacity as a physician, the letter discusses problems with the hospital admission of a poor patient; Chekhov describes his attempts to mediate with the bureaucracy.
