. Original pen-and-ink drawing with white on paper, circa 1940, for The Wonder City of Oz, printed on p. 48. 8 1/2 x 11 inches (22 x 28.5 cm). Titled in ink in the artist's hand with printer's penciled notations, pencil study on verso. Original pinholes.

Neill's original manuscript for The Wonder City of Oz contained the character Polychrome the Rainbow's Daughter whose drawing is sketched on the verso of this sheet. When Rainbow's Daughter was dropped from the revised text, her hat was whitened out and her hair altered to transform her into Jenny Jump, as per the instructions on the sheet.
