Very dirty varnish. Wax lined. Frame rubbing. Scattered craquelure. Partially visible stretcher marks. Scattered old inpainting: along the edges, but mainly in the far left third of of the painting and in an area at the upper right; some spots in the face of the boy second from the left. Most of the restoration is in the background or in the apron of the boy at far left.
