Tang and Liao Dynasties
The larger carved as a figure standing with the right hand held at the chest before a mandorla with traces of a foliate surround at the head, dressed in long robes secured at the waist, the hair gathered into a topknot; the other with the left hand held at the chest perhaps holding a lotus bud, the round face below hair gathered into a foliate crown. Height of taller 6 inches.
Smaller with wear to face and small loss to nose. Larger with wear to face. Both with losses and chips to outer edges as can be seen in photos.
