Original vellum backed boards, an uncut copy. 16 3/4 x 10 1/4 inches (43 x 26.5 cm); [12], 795, [18] pp. Explorers Club bookplate to pastedown and blindstamp to title and first few leaves, some soiling, spotting, small stains, and wear to binding.
"Contains copious accounts of the Spanish colonies in North America, planting of Virginia, New England, &c., the travels of Columbus, Cortez, Pizarro" (Sabin). The work was issued serially in 1732-33. A planned second volume on Africa and Europe was never published. Sabin 3362.
