Old varnish left intact over the signature. There is a fine 2 to 3 inch stroke of inpaint below but not extending into the signature. There are two narrow metal braces at the top and bottom in the area of what seems to be a fine vertical scratch extending the length of the panel. It appears to lie beneath the paint film.
