With 25 plates on 24 leaves (including frontispiece), with mounted Woodburytypes, photogravures, autotypes, and lithographs (one colored). Some wear to binding, soiling to the margins of some leaves.
This copy has a Woodburytype portrait of the author (from Men of Mark) laid-in. Important as an photographic desideratum, this work also includes some pioneering astronomical art, in the form of photographs of sculpted models of lunar features. Truthful Lens 125.
