SCHULZ, CHARLES. Original drawing for a Peanuts four-panel strip
, inscribed in the upper margin "For Liz with friendship and every best wish" and signed in full. 5 1/2 x 27 inches (14 x 690 cm); drawn in black ink on thin illustration board, signed "Schulz" in the last panel; dated 6-5, with the printed United Features Syndicate slug (with a copyright date of 1972) pasted to the extreme left of the outline of the first panel. Some toning to the edges of the sheet, a central fold (running through the blank between two panels), two faint areas of discoloration in the first two panels, overall an attractive example. Framed.
Linus is thrilled that school is out for the summer, and he and Charlie Brown celebrate wildly, until Lucy calls them to get on the camp bus, where they disconsolately remark "Whatever happened to going home?"
