Birmingham: Swinney & Walker, 1792. Sixth edition. Contemporary (publisher's?) stiff blue wrappers. 6 7/8 x 4 1/8 inches (17.5 x 10.5 cm); xii, 118, [2] pp.; frontispiece. Affixed to the verso of the frontispiece is the interesting angling trade card of "J. Higginbotham, Fishing Rod Maker," situated at Southampton Street on the Strand (London). Spine repaired with cloth and white paper, but an attractive uncut copy; Together with STONE, H. The Angler's Assistant. Later leather backed marbled boards, original marbled wrappers bound-in. 6 3/8 x 3 5/8 inches (16 x 9 cm); 6 pp. (the first and last leaf are affixed to the wrappers, as issued, the "frontispiece" being an advertisement for Stone. Fine copy. With the bookplate of the Bibliotheca Piscatoria Lynniana and the book label of C.R. Morphy of Ottawa.
The first item is Westwood & Satchell, pp. 39-40; the second, a slight and fugitive item that is essentially advertising, is unrecorded so far as we can discern.
