Four carved and painted decoys of the American Wigeon.
Length 14 1/4 inches. Stamped "CDG" and "Wildfowler Decoys, Quogue, L.I.N.Y." Between 1958-1961. Some wear and pitting, occasioanl flaking, but apparently original heads and paint, glass eyes, keel weights and anchors present, sold as is, third-party shipping required.
In 1957 a fire destroy the Wildfowler Decoy factory in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and they moved operations to Quogue, Long Island, resuming production in 1958. In 1961 the company moved again to Point Pleasant, NJ. The lot four decoys. (4)
