The rectangular case applied with black enamel and a stylized gold floral motif amidst an abstract cloud motif, centering a rose-cut diamond-set silver disc, opening to reveal a hinged silver lipstick case, flanked by two make-up compartments, further flanked by hinged doors with mirrored powder compartments, signed Black, Starr & Frost, Made in France, no. 3835, with maker's mark and French assay mark, c. 1920, minor enamel loss, ap. 101 dwts. gross. 3 3/16 x 2 1/16 x 7/16 inches.
