New Haven: 28 May 1916. One page typed letter signed "Wm. H. Taft" on one sheet of his stationery, 8 1/2 x 6 inches (22 x 16 cm); framed with a portrait. Folds, fine, unexamined out of frame, with a certificate of authenticity from JG Autographs.

Taft here writes to John Wesley Hill in New York reporting that he requires money to settle a debt after "my chauffeur ran into a coupe and a horse, and so injured the horse that it had to be killed, and shook up the driver. I have arbitrated the matter..."
