Eric de Kolb was a blue-blooded Renaissance man who worked as a commercial artist and designer, fashion designer, painter and sculptor known for his surrealist works. He was commissioned by the Met Museum to create a line for their gift store in the 1960s and 70s, eventually spurring the famous Bodley Gallery to carry his works.
